*After a night of talking with Antony, Caesar order the handing out of rations to the men. He retreated to bed late that night, and awoke early in the morning. Caesars Legate cheif of Staff was at his tent, in full uniform. Caesar got up from his bed, and while his slave put on his armour, Caesar listened.*
"Sir, Pompey Magnus is not far away from here, he stands ready to fight... What are your orders sire?"
*Caesar rubbed his face, and then washed it, while thinking. He looked at the Legate, and nodded to him.*
"Inform the Tribunes that they are to break camp, and prepare for battle..."
*The Legate looked alittle dumbstruck by this command.*
"You intend to go straight into battle when he outnumbers you five to one?"
*Caesar didn't answer the question, the Legate just left.*
------------------------ Later that Day- The Battle of Pharsalus ------------------------
*Thousands of men gathered on the feild of Pharsalus, Pompiian and Ceasariian. Caesar's men were greatly outnumbered, but stood. Caesar stood with his General Cavalry, ordering the skirmishers to start. Pompey was using his left flank, and cavalry to assualt Caesar's weakening left cavalry. Caesar ordered one of his cohorts from his left flank to reform at the right flank, for reinforcement. The cohort was made of long spears, and had formed a phalanx to attempt a repel against the oncoming cavalry cohort. The cavalry retreated to Pompey's advancing left flank, not knowing that they would soon collide with Pompey's oncoming left flank. The cavalry century collided with Pompey's left flank, virtually destroying it. Caesar's left flank was able to advance, and crush the center and right flanks. This decemated Pompey's forces, and forced Pompey to flee.*
---------------------- Later- Caesar's Tent ----------------------
"Contact my wife, and Rome... Alert them of my victory."
*Caesar's messanger was off with that.*
Results- All of Pompey's Legions are destroied, but Pompey himself is still alive, and on his way to Egypt.
