*After landing his ships in Egypt to chase Pompey, the child ruler offered him a housing for his soldiers. The housing had a good stone wall to protect it, and a barracks inside for the men. Caesar had his own housing in the camp for his personal needs, and such. Caesar awaited company of the Pharoh, Ptolomey XIII. As he waited, he heard stories of the Princess, Cleopatra. He heard nothing of Pompey though, not knowing where the man was. This worried Caesar. A prefect in Caesar's legion entered the room, saluting Caesar.*
"Hail Caesar! Sir, your orders have been carried out. The men are settled in the barracks, and legionaries are switching gaurd shifts. Anything else, sir?!"
*Caesar shook his head.*
"No, that will be all, thank you."
*They saluted eachother and the Prefect left Caesar's dwelling.*

*He sighed, signaling for his servant to get some wine.*
"I am just thinking, about where Pompey is, and why I haven't met with Ptolemy yet..."

"Either way, I still wander about Egypt..."
*He drank from a cup of wine, and the servant passed one to Marc Antony.*

*He nodded.*
"Yes, but it will be difficult to bring down the king of Egypt, with only a legion."

Moments later a messager brought Caesar a letter which read:
You are invited to come to the Pharoh's Palace, who offers a gift to you.
The letter was short and sweet with the royal seal.

"Prefect Sabaco, prepare my escort... Antony, I will speak with you after this meeting..."
*Caesar stood, saluted Antony, and left.*

*Caesar and his gaurd entered the camp again, the wooden doors closing behind them, and the legionaries taking a strong stance at the gate. Caesar went back to his dwelling, and contemplated on what to do, while drinking wine.*

*as night fell....a man, looking as a merchant...a rug peddler, walked into the camp from the direction of the river, a long persain rug held lengthwise in his arms*
*when stopped by two guards the merchant said* This is gift for Caesar...from the daughter of Isis herself...for his eyes alone
*it was not long before the guards were at last convienced by the merchant's serious stare and lead the man to the tent of Caesar, annoucing him before they left the tent after a signal from Caesar for their departure...alittle bit worried for their leader...leaving him alone like that...but orders were orders...*
*kneeling, the rug peddler bowed, placing the rolled up carpet on the floor before Caesar gently....and the rug stirred slightly*
The finest of gifts choosen for you mighty Caesar...Cleopatra gave me the honor of presenting it to you myself...

*Caesar thought for a few moments, and looked over the rug. After a minute or two, he stood up, pouring two glasses of wine.*
"This is a very fine gift, indeed... But I must insist to know what Princess Cleopatra means by this gift..."

*bowing his head the merchant didn't reply, deciding now was a good a time as any to present the true gift*
*gently he unrolled the carpet and out fell the princess herself with a small cry...the beads in her hair jingled as she coughed alittle, dusting herself off before she looked up at Caesar, elegant in her smiple dress but her eyes flashed with a noble fire*
I mean to present myself to you alive instead of the dead princess my brother would want you to see... *she offered a hand up towards Caesar, raising an eyebrow slowly as she smiled under his gaze...in her mind she was looking at Caesar up and down in amazement...he truely looked as a descendent of a god in her eyes, from the way he stood to the glint of his eyes...*
