*Calpurnia, as she walked threw the slave displays, heard the commotion and nodded to one of the soldiers of her escort to see what it was about*
*when the soldier returned she followed him threw the crowd, a way made for her...she looked up at the restrained slave girl and guessed this girl wasn't a born slave...*
What is her price merchant? *the trader was bumbling over his words but she understood he was saying the slave was now at 800 gold coins, an excellent dancer of average working ability*
I'll give you 900, release her...*the girl was let loose and brought to her...*

*Calpurnia glared at the tradesmen's unprofessional treatment of the poor girl, and she knelt down to look at the wounds from the whips...* It's alright girl...you're under my care now
*she pulled the girl up to her feet, disregarding the blood now on her own hands* What is your name ?...and can you walk?...

*she smiled at the strength of this dancer and nodded* Alright, follow me...the soldiers will be sure there is a path so don't worry about fighting threw the crowd
*motioning with a wave of her hand to the three soldiers around them she smiled amusedly* Being the wife of Ceasar does sometimes have it's advantages *she winked at Constantina then looking at the girl's dress with slight distaste* I think you will also need another tunic dear...we'll stop at a market for some fabric...
*Calpurnia smiled gently and walked with the soldiers into the markets, keeping a hand out for Constantina to hold if the girl lost her balance again*

*She nodded, Constantina using Calpurnia's hand meny times to steady herself. She looked at the soilders.*
Do they always stay with you?
*She looked around, seeing the man they stole horses from, she turned around for a while, so he would not notice her. After all, the horses still were alive, yet they were at the palace.*
You do not have to get me a tunic...Im sure if i wash this one, it will be as good as new..
*She bit her lip, grabbing onto Callpurnia's hand*

Yes, they are needed sometimes..crowds can get lively
*Calpurnia held Constania's unsteady hand and smiled comfortingly* I understand about the tunic, but still it would be nice to atleast have a different one to wear from time to time...
*she spotted a marquee covering a sale's booth of silks...* Look at those colors...I think I could use another set of lavender...a closer look would be nice...
*she waved to the soldiers and they lead to way to the booth..*
((to Arabian silks and fabrics))

Ares walked through the market place, pretty well unseen by the masses. He smirked amused with them all. Rome would soon be a war stricken city...all thanks to him.

*a small red headed maid bumped into a dark man that seemed more like a shadow, dropping her basket of food that she had just retreived for her masters*
Pardon me master, I am sorry *she knelt down, gathering back up her basket, keeping her eyes cast down at the studded leather boots of the gentlemen...*

I um....*she was nervous holding a conversation with a man far beyond her humble station in life*
I vas getting some herbs for the...for the feast this evening at my master Brustus's..e-estate
*she was having trouble with her latin verse but did well in anycase and allowed herself a quick look up at the man, her eyes gaze wide in awe before she ducked her head again and kept looking down at the cobblestones as she stood, only coming up to the man's chin in height...he was very tall for a Roman...or was he of the north country, a Spaniard?...maybe...she waited in silence, not daring to look again into the gentlemen's face*
